Maythavee, she is always so quiet and rarely shows her feelings. But once you get to know her really well, she will be a very good friend. She always teaches me maths when i don't understand the questions.y
Maythavee's favourite quote is,"Nvr Give Up".I admire that - it is easier said than done. She always follows her dream quietly, try and tried again in silence. I think you can see that in her daily work. yyy
I would like to thank Theresa, Bona, Maythavee and Megan. They were always there for me when I was down and would always share their time with me - listening to my complaints and forgiving me when I made them angry! They made me a much more cheerful person.
Thank you to Charmaine, Bona, Theresa and Megan for making me more cheerful! (by Fauzia)
When I mixed with Jun Jie, I learnt to be more independent and he is also fun to hang around with! When I saw him start on a project and finish it perfectly, it motivated me to strive on and finish it too. (by Darren)
Clarissa, you always stand by me and listen to me like I listen to you. I enjoy your company. Thank you. (by Hui Hao)
Guan Jie is really something. He has influenced me a lot! (manFred)
My friends changed my attitude. In the past, I rarely 'screamed' and 'shouted' (in joy) with my friends but now I do! I tell my friends my dear secrets and they don't laugh at me and I feel so relieved! There are times when we quarrel but in the end, we still get back together. I love my friends. (by Megan)
I actually felt that Darren treated me like his brother and I do too cause we both help each other whenever one of us is in need! (by Eugene)
At the beginning, Maythavee was like very quiet. At first, she didn't talk a lot . . . After 1 silent term together, in the 2nd term, she began talking - not much at first but gradually became more talkative.
She started drawing pigs on my worksheets and decorating them - but I enjoyed them soooo much.
How she changed and laughed more! I'm happy that now I can talk with her freely, not worrying whether she'll reply or not. I now love the new, outgoing Maythavee so much!
Thank you JJ for being my long time friend. We went through hardship with me. We share the same pain and agony when we are angry with each other but we always get back together! (by Jordan)
We, the three musketeers, enjoyed the good times and also shared weal and woe! I hope that our PSLE results will be similar so we can all choose the same school. (by Eden)
Chao Jun and Eden, you changed my life as you helped me all the time. (by Guan Jie)
5 of the girls helped changed me! In fact I did not have any close friend at P1 and P2. These girls made my life happier and think positively. I don't think anyone can smile an honest smile without friendship. (by Bona)
This whole year to me was like a movie. I can remember everything that happened in the year 2008. But all good things have to end. Still, even if i am not in 6 Grace at least i still have the happy memories i earned from this class. By happy memories, i mean memories from the experience of things you did not do before
6 Grace triumphed this year for Bukit Timah Primary Open-House 2008! We were crowned: Best Decorated Stall Best Earning Stall Nothing is impossible when creative minds mix with passion and dedication. This is the most invaluable lesson for all of us this year. It has been my greatest pleasure to work with 34 enthusiastic and driven pupils of 6 Grace. Merci mille fois!

KUDOS for Best Settings
Fear Pie' s and Eugene' s settings were voted best by 6 Grace pupils.
They received an overwhelming 28 votes each!
They used the words that I know but made the setting much better!
Both settings can be imagined or visualised and felt!
SeKwon
Eugene's setting reveals one point form the main event. It gives me a clue of what the main event is about!
I like the words 'untamed' wind as they form a picutre in my mind almost immediately.
Natalie
I intend to copy the similes and express my feelings. I also want to imagine myself at the scene so that I can describe better!
Charmaine
About Simple Words
The 6 Grace writers teach me that simple words mixed in a sentence can really create a clear picture in my mind. It's really like a puzzle - you use a SUITABLE word and MATCH!
In order to "Show", not 'Tell', I have to add more feelings and expression to let the reader feel and picture the image of what's happening!
Jordan
Do not write the same way you speak!
Natalie
*Even simple words can stand out from others. *Make similes that are original. *Use action-packed verbs when the situation is critical. *Link paragraphs. *Try not to be out of point!
Chao Jun
Chosen vocabulary can be simple but effective. Do not digress! Try not to use the same word over again and again.
Eugene
In Summary
1) One doesn't need to use excellent vocabulary all the time but we must try to use a varied language. 2) Sentence structure helps when you write as it gives readers a complete story, not bits and pieces. 3) "Showing" helps build excitement. 4) Verbs are useful to express actions, feelings and emotions.
Daniel
Simple words can also make a story interesting. As writers, we need to to choose relevant words to spice up the story and make the reader WANT to continue reading on.
Clarissa
The 6 Grace writers used simple words for what they imagine - trees, vehicles and vases - and write what they see.
I should do some planning on simple words I can use and have a broad mind!
Darren
Chosen vocabulary can be simple but needs to be correctly placed.
The 6 Grace authors taught me that under pressure, we must still think of descriptive words.
Even the simplest word like 'red' will make the composition stand out.
I will remember to describe my emotions next time.
Charmaine
Phrase my sentences well and choose the right words. A word can express feelings and thoughts. Use similes and describe things well!
A few decorative words can light up the whole composition.
